Because the program is interdisciplinary, East Asian courses in other departments (e.g., History, Sociology, History of Arts and Architecture, etc.) are an crucial ingredient of the IDMA program. Speak to the Director  of Graduate Studies (Kun Qian) and find out which courses count toward your degree. EALL courses below will help you build a strong intellectual foundation for graduates studies. While language courses numbered 1000 and above carry graduate credits, they do not count toward your degree requirement.
